About Us

We specialize in providing high-energy, culturally enriching performances and workshops for school programming, extracurricular activities, summer camps, fundraisers and community celebrations. Our artists regularly perform at events for Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Black History Month, Juneteenth, and other cultural observances, bringing authentic West African music and dance to audiences of all ages. In addition to public programming, Jali Kunda is also available for private events, including  celebrations, gatherings and special occasions where live drumming and dance can add a unique and memorable experience. Listen to the soothing, classical rhythms of the 21  string kora (African harp) accompanied by the drum or other instruments. Jali Kunda is happy to collaborate with you in advance to design a musical experience that fits the unique tone and goals of your event.
